2008 BIGGEST FANTASY SLEEPERS (so far this year)

Postby croutonjack on Sun Oct 05, 2008 11:26 pm

You know who they are, the people that came out of nowhere and they are dominating fantasy football
My 5: DeSean Jackson, Isaac Bruce (everyone at my draft laughed when I drafted him), Jay Cutler, Kurt Warner, Eddie Royal

1. Matt Forte: I don't even think I meant to draft him at the end of the 6th round, I think time ran out and it auto-picked him for me, but man am I glad it did.

I took Bruce with my last pick. I dropped him after zero catches in week 1, then saw what he did week 2 and got him back, luckily. Then silly me, I benched him this week.

I also took Warner with a late pick and said in the chat "I can't believe Warner laster this long", and an owner replied "that's because he's soft"....that owner took Brady with his #1 pick, how's that for coincidence?

And who knew Turner would be this money? There was a run early on RB's in my draft, so I grabbed him in the 4th round, a little early I thought but the pool was getting thin of good starting RB's. It's working out nicely.

Turner wasn't that much of a long shot...I snagged him in the 3rd rounds if I could. I was sippin his kool-aid, and it is oh so good.

Probably Kurt Warner.

I drafted Brady and decided to pick Warner off the waiver wire after my draft (he had not yet been named the starter). I think a player who's benched, gets the starting job, and produces like a top 5 QB is one hell of a sleeper.

I'd also take Forte, no one drafted him in my league and he's been fabulous for my team.

But nobody expected him to be #1. In my 10 team draft I got Cutler in the 7th round and most people who got him landed him past the 5th round.

The reason I put him at number one is because of the difference between last year and this year. He is a 5th-7th round pick up who is putting up 1st round numbers.
