Why was Resenfels Running with the Ball??????

With a 17 pt lead, and about 6 minutes left in the game why don't you hand the ball off to Slaton. At the very least you can kill some clock. It looked like those plays were called that way. Slaton was a beast all game long. BAD BAD BAD Play calling. The coaching staff is to blame along with Sage the idiot. Any thoughts?????
