Mid Year Rankings

Postby grover99 » Wed Oct 08, 2008 4:48 pm

I think a mid year rankings would be very beneficial to alot of people. Rankings like we all do before the year starts, only now we have almost 6 weeks of info to use. Pretend that we are starting a new dynasty league right now, how would you rank each position to win this year, while also keeping in mind next year. It would help people with trades that they were going to offer or have been offered already. I tried to start something like this over in the DTKW forum, but it didn't get any looks. If anybody has any interest is doing this, I would be more than happy to compile the rankings. I am very bored right now, just sitting here waiting for my wife to go into labor hopefully soon, but it might be a week or so. Thanks for reading this.

uhhhh too subjective, why don't we just wait until week 8 and just rank them statistically, no need to speculate since everybodys top 25 is going to be different...and i mean everybodys ;-D

That is what I want to see, if even just for my use. I think it would show you where to start with trade offers and such. Kind of like JJ old draft value sheet. I know it takes time, so if nobody else puts any ranking here that's fine. Thank you 2ksports.

That's one of the strangest things to hear- I imagine she wants it even sooner. I'll get my rankings to you tonight or tomorrow morning.

I hope that didn't come across as heartless and uncaring on my part. There just isn't much for me to do at the moment, I travel for work, so I'm not even working until the little guy gets here.

Yeah- I imagine it's like being a firefighter, or playing whack-a-mole: you want to be ready, but you don't want to stress yourself out in anticipation.

Anyways, here's my tiered RB rankings. Open to (serious) ammendments. The assumptions-
A) not a PPR;
B) Dynasty. Therefore, certain players (like Selvin Young) are ranked higher in anticipation of them leaving their current teams. Anyone know where contract lengths can be researched? I know Jacobs is playing for the money this year, and it shows.
C) Special teams scores not awarded to the player.

Adrian Peterson
Michael Turner
Ronnie Brown
Frank Gore
LaDanian Tomlinson

Clinton Portis
Brian Westbrook
Marion Barber
MJD
Steven Jackson
Marshawn Lynch

Darren McFadden
Matt Forte
Joseph Addai
Chris Johnson
Le'Ron McClain

Steve Slaton
Earnest Graham
Jonathan Stewart
Ryan Grant
Kev Smith

Justin Fargas
Willis McGahee
Brandon Jacobs
Felix Jones
Willie Parker
LenDale White

Tim Hightower
Rashard Mendenhall
Selvin Young
Michael Bush
Derrick Ward
DeAngelo Williams
Jerious Norwood
Reggie Bush

Darren Sproles
Larry Johnson
Jamal Lewis
Julius Jones
Thomas Jones
Edgerrin James
Ray Rice

Also Rans- Fred Jackson, Pierre Thomas, Ryan Torain, Rudi Johnson, Brandon Jackson, Chester Taylor, Warrick Dunn, Ahmad Bradshaw, Jerome Harrison, Fred Taylor, Ladell Betts, Chris Perry, Cedric Benson, TJ Duckett, Mewelde Moore, Laurence Maroney, Lorenzo Booker, Ricky Williams, Deuce McAllister, Anthony Alridge, Jamaal Charles, Leon Washington, Andre Hall, Kenny Watson, Mike Tolbert, Lamont Jordan, Maurice Morris, Michael Pittman, Kolby Smith
