QB Joe Flacco, BAL Recent News 10/26/2008 9:53:00 PM
The Ravens are calling their new offensive formation that uses Troy Smith at QB and Joe Flacco split wide their "Suggs Package."
It's coach John Harbaugh's way of making light of Terrell Suggs' belief that Smith, not Flacco, should be Baltimore's QB. Flacco caught a 43-yard pass from Smith out of the formation Sunday, exhibiting surprising athleticism. It will be something defenses need to prepare for going forward.

RB Michael Turner, ATL Recent News 10/26/2008 6:03:00 PM
Michael Turner rushed 17 times for 58 yards against the Eagles in Week 8.
The pattern continues. Turner feasts on poor defenses but has trouble finding room to run against quality opponents. He now has three games over 100 yards and four games under 60 yards. The inconsistency is especially troubling because he never pitches in with receiving yards. Turner's big play ability makes him tough to sit, but you know what you're getting yourself into against tough run defenses.

Steelers declared RB Willie Parker, QB Dennis Dixon, WR Santonio Holmes, LB Keyaron Fox, OT Tony Hills, OT Marvel Smith, and DE Orpheus Roye inactive for Week 8 against the Giants.
Mewelde Moore gets the starting nod in place of Parker. Nate Washington will start outside opposite Hines Ward. Max Starks takes Smith's position.

OFLEX Fred Taylor, JAC Recent News 10/26/2008 7:06:00 PM
Fred Taylor rushed eight times for 24 yards in Week 8 against the Browns.
Jacksonville's running game was helpless against Cleveland's front line, and Taylor got just three carries in the second half. Since a 26-carry, 121-yard Week 3, Taylor has totaled 78 yards in four games while averaging 2.5 yards per carry.

Willis McGahee carried 23 times for 58 yards and a 1-yard touchdown against the Raiders Sunday.
McGahee did not have a run longer than eight yards on the day, but the carries and goal-line carry are both encouraging. He's still the top option in the Ravens backfield , although Ray Rice looked impressive against the Raiders.

WR Terrell Owens, DAL Recent News 10/26/2008 4:26:00 PM
Terrell Owens caught five passes for 33 yards in Week 8 against the Bucs.
The good news: Owens led Dallas in receiving for the first time all year. The bad news: he scored only three fantasy points in a non-PPR league. Owens and Brad Johnson were not on the same page in the first quarter and most of Johnson's deep balls throughout the game were overthrown. No one wants Tony Romo back in the starting lineup more than T.O. Still, he's worth sticking with in all fantasy leagues in Week 9 against the Giants.

Chris Chambers returned from his ankle injury in Week 8 to catch five passes for
Chambers, coming off his ankle injury and two-game layoff, appeared to be in and out of the lineup but did help LaDainian Tomlinson by throwing a block to spring LT2's 26-yard run in the first half. Chambers can use the upcoming bye to get 100 percent before a nice Week 10 matchup against KC.

Joey Galloway hauled in three passes for 38 yards in Week 8 against the Cowboys.
Galloway was targeted six times and made a few nice plays against his former team. At this point, though, he isn't an attractive fantasy option.

TE Todd Heap, BAL Recent News 10/26/2008 4:41:00 PM
Todd Heap caught two passes for 17 yards against the Raiders in Week 8.
Heap hasn't produced his usual numbers this season, registering just 13 catches so far and being used more as a blocker than a receiver. Start looking for other options at tight end if you're still waiting for him to break out.

Bench L.J. Smith, PHI Sidelined 10/26/2008 3:37:00 PM
L.J. Smith caught two passes for 29 yards before leaving Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a concussion.
Smith's head snapped back after he was laid out on an apparent helmet-to-helmet hit from Lawyer Milloy. He was a defenseless receiver after a tipped ball, and Milloy should expect to hear from the commissioner's office for the brutal hit. Smith will be questionable to play in Week 9.

Bucs SS Jermaine Phillips may have suffered a broken arm during Sunday's game.
The Bucs wouldn't get specific, but defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin mentioned that the team is "going to miss him." Backup safety Sabby Piscitelli, who estimated that he's played about 30 percent of the snaps this season, might need to step up into the full time role.
