Who do you guys think is going to have the best week out of:
Colt McCoy vs. Oklahoma Juice Williams vs. Minnesota Josh Freeman vs. TAMU Robert Griffin vs. Iowa State
Alright, so this is a fantasy league thing... guilty. Wasn't really sure where to post it. I can only start 1 QB with the settings of 25 passing yards/point, 10 rushing yards/point, TD's = 6, turnovers = -2. I personally clipped McCoy, but put him out there in case anybody felt he would shine in the big game. Juice is coming off the strongest performance, but all of these other guys have a good shot.
Any thoughts? (Also, if this is the wrong section, feel free to move it). Thanks. WHIR.
This is probably the most correct forum for fantasy college football. The Cafe really doesn't have a specific place for this, but since this is a forum dedicated to college football, you're pretty safe here, I think.
As for your question, I would play Williams, I guess. I would NOT play McCoy, Freeman is a little erratic for me, and ISU could give Griffin some trouble this week. Still, Griffin is home, and I like him... but I think your safest bet is Juice Williams.
Fantasy college football doesn't really come across as a mainstream thing yet, so I can understand why there would be no forum for it
Thanks for the insight fellas-- still a little torn, though.
My instincts say not to go with Colt, however I am possibly the worst fantasy manager ever so my instincts are usually wrong.
All of these guys score in bunches, so, in general, my best play has always been the guy who accumulates the most rushing yards in a week. I'm leaning towards Juice or Griffin. Honestly a tough call though. I've already requested that we change the rules to 2 starting QB's-- since every week I have to choose only one of these guys, plus Jake Locker in the mix when healthy. It's brutal.
Juice is hit or miss, but I'd go with him. He's had huge games against Mizzou, Michigan, and my beloved Eastern Illinois Panthers. But he was very quiet against Penn St and Louisiana Lafeyette. But when he goes off, boy does he ever... Mizzou (452 5/2), Eastern Illinois (174 rush yards, 2 rush td), Michigan(310 2/0 and 120 rush yards, 2 rush td).
I'm going with Juice. His best rushing performance last season was @Minnesota, and after Pryor tore them up a few weeks ago-- I'm feeling a little better about the choice. Thanks guys.

I'd go with Juice. He's coming off of a huge week and I really wouldn't mess with that OK defense.

Good freakin' call Dee!
Uhhhh kinda....the better freakin' call was by everyone else who said to go with Juice Williams though 26/41 462 yards 2TDs 1INT and 18 rushes for 41 yards, compared to Colt McCoy's 28/35 277 yards 1TD and 14 rushes for 31 yards.

True enough. I guess I'm still carrying a grudge My judgement was clouded by the fact that Minnesota's pass defense is 103 out of 120 whereas Oklahoma is 32nd. My bad.
