I think Minn. has a legitimate shot at ten wins this year. What??? Yup. Look at the schedule:

It has been a dramatic turnaround from last year's 1-11 disaster. The defense has gone from the nation's worst to a decent unit, and Adam Weber has really developed into a solid and reliable QB. Eric Decker is possibly one of the more underrated players in the Big 10 as well. I don't think they'll get to 10, 8 or 9 seems like a better target, but making an appearance in the Alamo/Sun/Outback Bowl would be a giant step in the right direction for this squad with another solid recruiting class coming in next year. Things are definitely looking up, especially getting out of the Metrodome and moving into the new outdoor, on campus stadium next year.

I know it's a rivalry and everything, but Wisky are nothing to be afraid of. They were terrible today. I'd be more afraid of Michigan, despite everything.

You think Purdue is going to be one of their toughest challenges? Purdue that is currently last in the big ten in total defense, rushing yds/game, and second to last in passing efficiency? Minnesota should walk away with at least 8 wins, probably 9 or 10, but its going to be NU and the Badgers who will play them the toughest.

Wisconsin owns the Gophers at Camp Randall and in a rivalry game it is going to be irrelevant how these teams look coming into the game. The Gophers aren't going to blow anybody out in Big 10 play and every game hereon out should be fairly tight. Northwestern and Iowa look like tough home games and I don't think you can really pencil in any wins for the Gophers at this point. Good to see them being talked about though.
