"It exploded," LSU linebacker Kelvin Sheppard said. "That's as loud as I've heard any stadium since my time here, basically ever in my life.
Quarterback Jarrett Lee struggled to hear and be heard, and though he had respectable numbers (23-of-38, 209 yards, two touchdowns), he struggled throughout, throwing two interceptions and taking two sacks.
"The environment at Auburn was great, but coming into The Swamp it was so much louder, the environment, the crowd being so close," Lee said. "It really affected the communication, and that's one thing quarterbacks really need to work on. I felt just fine. I had a lot of confidence. It was just a little louder than I expected."
Bagel - that's really cool that you guys have that noise factor. We have a great sellout streak here at Nebraska, but the season ticket holders are old blue hairs that don't make a lot of noise.

It's not really that Florida fans are louder, it's the way the stadium is built. There are no hedges behind the benches, the stands are literally right now top of the field. I'd say the boundaries are about 15 feet from the stands, that's how tight it is. Also, the stadium seats rise really rapidly. The seats in the 80ish rows are really steep so it keeps sound in better.

Yeah the way stadiums are designed plays a huge part in how the sound is carried, Autzen is the same way.
