When do WRs typically start to trail off?

Postby WeekSixteen » Thu Oct 23, 2008 9:49 am

I'm looking for some info on when WRs start to get the age wall. Moss will be 32 next season but has Brady back so he could still be a dominate force. Marvin Harrison had good seasons with his last being when he was 34. Torry Holt at 32 appears washed up but that is probably more due to the Rams. Thoughts...?

There is no exact science to this, it depends on each player and how well they keep their body in shape, how much of a physical specimen they are, injuries over time etc...Keyshaun and TO came out the same draft, obviously Keyshaun tailored off earlier in his career and TO got better, I don't think there is any way to know because some guys break down sooner then others.

Moss is fine though, I'm pretty sure he's wishing he wasn't in NE because he came back to play with Brady and win a ring, as an athlete I'm not concerned about him slowing down anytime soon.
