Cadillac went down after a long run and immediately was clutching his knee. He could clearly be heard writhing in pain.
From Fanball:
Caddy leaves game with knee injury
Running back Cadillac Williams exited the game against Oakland in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury.
Our View: Williams needed assistance to get off the field, and if his body language is any indication, the injury is serious. We will provide additional updates as information becomes available.
the guy does not know how to take a hit he always plants his feet when he falls and his knees take all the impact. he hurt his other knee the exact same way
Running back Cadillac Williams appears to have torn the patellar tendon in his left knee, one year after sustaining the same injury to his right knee, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Our View: Initial information indicates this tear is less severe, but that would be only a small consolation for Williams. Expect more medical examinations in the days to come which could shed more light on the specifics and severity of the injury.
From Rotoworld:
According to the St. Petersburg Times, Cadillac Williams "appears" to have suffered a torn left patellar tendon in Sunday's loss to Oakland.
Williams tore his right patellar tendon in Week 4 of 2007 and it took him well over a year to get back on the field. While this injury is to the opposite knee, an additional tear would undoubtedly threaten his career. Williams was en route to one of the better games of his career Sunday, totaling 115 yards on 17 touches with two touchdowns through three quarters
Even though Patellar Tendon tears are a trademark of Steroid use, I can't help but feel terrible for Caddy. It seemed like he actually defied the odds and made it back, now this...won't be seeing him no more.
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

Bucs Receive Good News On Cadillac Posted December 29, 2008 by Roy Cummings Updated Dec 29, 2008 at 01:16 PM
TAMPA – There was some good news coming out of One Buc Place on Monday, and it was news involving running back Cadillac Williams.
Williams did suffer a torn left patellar tendon on Sunday against the Raiders, but the severity of the injury is not as great as the tear he suffered last season when he ripped his right knee apart in a game in Carolina.
“It’s more of a tear off the bone, so the rehab process should be much easier,’’ Williams said.
The hope is that Williams will be back in time for training camp. But after returning from a 13-month layoff, Williams said he remains very frustrated by the latest setback.

I knew there was a reason why I was flinching and holding my breath every tackle that was made on him, because it seemed like another injury like his was bound to happen so soon after, I'm just mad it happened the last week after he looked like a full off-season would have him back to almost his old self.
He should of just eased up on that tackle, but I don't see him being much of the same but am wishing him the best of luck.

Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams is progressing well in his recovery from a torn patellar tendon injury in his left knee. Williams suffered in the injury in the team’s Dec. 28 season finale, but he’s already doing wind sprints and some limited cutting, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Williams had a similar injury to his right knee in 2007, but he said he’s further along in his recovery this time. He has some motivation: The Bucs recently signed free-agent RB Derrick Ward.
