Pittman, is he playing?

I only ask because a guy in my league just released him!!!! I have the top waiver claim, so he is mine. I haven't heard anything, but I can't figure out why anyone would drop him. In the playoff weeks, he plays Houston and Atlanta, so I'm thinking of keeping him and trading another back for a top WR or Bulger.
