Eh, as a Royal ownder I found it pretty interesting that Marshall and Royals stats were rather similiar when one is a clear cut WR1 and the other a clear cut WR2..

Tar/Recpt/Yds/TD's

Marshall 102/57/714/4

Royal 72/52/625/4

Outside of a PPR league, there stats mirror one another, plus Royal has a 2 point conversion under his belt ;-D

They are close. Marshall did miss a game, though.

Plus he was robbed of a 77yd td against Miami. Marshall has been dropping a lot of balls this year. Royal is the superior route runner while Marshall is the superior overall talent. The 93yd td Royal had last week helps the yardage totals look close. That being said, Royal is having one hell of a rookie year.

Royal had 9/146/1 when Marshall missed

Marshall had 9/98 when Royal missed

No question I'd rather have Marshall... He gets targeted a ton more and like was mentioned above that 93 yard td helped a ton and the game Marshall was gone Royal got to light up Oakland.

Over 1/3rd of Royal's stats can be attributed to that one play combined with the game without Marshall... 10/239/2 in that small span. He's good... but you have to take that into account.

I have royal in many many leagues... Marshall in none unfortunately

Yeah but for where most people got Royal, of the waivers after the first couple weeks, just makes him that much better...I got him in week 8 after somebody actually put him back on the wire during his bye...

They are having career seasons for WR duos. I do wonder if Royal will hit the rookie wall and we see a significant drop in production.
Odd how a nutjob known for producing prodigious RB stats disposes of RBs like tissue paper is forced to turn to the air and has such tremendous success. Just hope Shanarat doesn't find a way to feature a different WR any given week just to mess with us FFBers!

I have both and this week I'm seriously debating starting Marshall at WR1, and Royal at Flex over LT2. With no running game, I can see Cutler tossing the ball 50 times, with big games from Marshall and Royal.

I'm counting on big games from Royal and Marshall this week, so I'm in the same boat as the poster above. Of course this probably means that Broncos will either blow out Atlanta and Tatum Bell/Hillis get huge points, or Cutler throws all his TDs to Scheffler and Stokely or something like that...
