Something should be done because that was a horrible call. there was no forward pass. I really need that TD too, I'm playing the 1st place team this week.

Seriously. The NFL runs the risk of getting accused of score interference for gambling purposes with calls like this. It probably isn't, but with the NBA scandal involving Tim Donahue still in the public's memory, perception is reality.

Especially in a game like this where the outcome is not affected, only the winning score is...

that was a bad call......either way, SD would have lost, so they shouldn't have reviewed it. the league just wanted to have an 11-10 final score for the first time in history.

also, my brother-in-law would have won $745 since he picked pitt to win. they needed to win by more than 3. stupid booth review!!!!

There was no forward pass. All backwards laterals. Horrible call. Do refs not realize that we have instant replay and youtube. Stupid morons.

I really hope they fix the score. Forget fantasy, Vegas made out with that ridiculous call. Glad I didn't have any money on it. WOW!!!

My understanding of this:

1. The exchange from Tomlinson to Chambers WAS a forward pass. I forget the yard markers, but I believe Tomlinson released the ball just beyond the 25 and Chambers caught it at the 26, so the ball was travelling forward.

2. However, the play should have continued anyway (I think) and the TD should have counted. They made the right call, but should not have taken the points off the board.

3. According to NBC's halftime show, the NFL has already stated they will NOT correct the scoring error.

4. Wow.

If someone has better info on this, feel free to add/correct me here.

Best I can do. You judge. Tomlinson is at the 26 when he pitches it, though his arm appears to be extending backwards a little bit. Chambers is at the 26 when he catches it.

IMO, not really enough conclusive evidence to call it a forward pass. IMO.
