Agreed. Who's better from the NFC?
St. Louis? (No way.)
Tampa Bay? (Not hardly.)
Green Bay? (Maybe.)
Carolina? (Well okay, maybe for now.)
And then we might have to consider Philly into this equation depending on how they at the water-logged tundra tonight.

Yeah, Carolina is the only possible team in the NFC that could be considered better than the Vikes. Once they get back on track, everyone will jump back on the Minny bandwagon.

I love the Vikes and will cheer for them, but I don't know if we have the D to get there. Defense wins championship, I know it is becoming too much of a clicke, but I think it is true. Look at the Bucs and Ravens especially. I don't know if a team has ever been to the super bowl having a D that gave up over 80 points in any 3 games span. I don't know exactly how much, but we scored 80 so I know we gave up more. If we look good against the Raiders we have a chance, if we barely win or lose I am going to wear a bag until we win.

I'd bet my life that the Vikes beat Oakland. With or without Randy.

Culepper is still playing well. I don't see a problem with his performance as long as he's cranking out 4 TD games. I see this defense and RBBC as major problems, hindering the progress of this team. Anytime you give up 42 points on D, there is little to nothing your O can do to make up for it. The RBBC has forced the Vikes to mix around their RB's, really hampering the oppurtunities for a back to get into the flow of the game and excel. If Bennett can come back strong from injury, and this defense pulls itself together, I wouldn't worry too much about its chances.
