How does Flutie Surprise you guys???

Postby tal1286 » Mon Nov 10, 2003 9:17 pm

I noticed on the poll that 33% of you voted that Flutie was the biggest surprise of week 10. IMO that is easily the least surprising event on that list. When he plays, Flutie has consistently played very well and put up good numbers. Remember a few years ago when he was still on the bills, had the MORONS on the staff not gone with frickin Rob Johnson over Flutie the Bills were AMAZING! (i'm still bitter)
My point is this, whenever Flutie plays, he plays well, he is a 6 time MVP IN the CFL, yes i know its the CFL but hey, he was the MVP, and when given the chance in the NFL he has consistently come through. I have always thought, and i heard it on ESPN from Berman or TJ or someone also, that had some team been smart, not even smart but just had half a brain, they would have given Flutie a chance and we'd be talking about a future- hall of fame quarterback!
"You're my boy blue, you're my boy."

"Hey boys, we're looking for two lucky guys to be our sun tan lotion boys" ... "Well about 3 miles down the road that way there's a huge city. i'm sure that you'll find two guys there."

Even though I've always been a Flutie fan and known that he was good, I was suprised at how he played Sunday. He hadn't played for 2 years and scored 4 total TD's and led the last place Bolts to a win against a very good football team.

He's alright, but it was more the result of a terrible minn. D. They really hadn't improved THAT much since last year.

That's pretty much and absurd statement (sorry for the bashing)
here's some more crappy teams the bolts lost to before flutie
chiefs, broncos, ravens, raiders, jags, browns, dolphins, bears
yeah those are all their last 8 games and vikings D is probably better than all but the Ravens.

You had better believe Flutie was the difference maker last Sunday ;-D

So I wonder, how many more games will he start before Brees gets the nod again?
