scheffler is kind of in my fantasy doghouse right now. the dude took forever to come back from his groin injury and hasnt done much of anything since he came back. i realize its only been a couple of games, but the dude was insane in the start of the year, and i kind of have high expectations for a guy had been solid previously in the same season. hopefully he can play a full game and the broncos will start utilizing him again...instead of using graham as their endzone target TE.
I seem to have a revolving door of TEs that score 0 points. One week it was Shockey, then it was Olsen, then it was Scheff. I was looking to move on this week to Jerramy Stevens against NO, having traded Shockey, and not trusting the Bears. So is Scheff really going to be back this week? I mean, the real Scheffler, that can put up at least 50 yds, and possibly a score? I hope so, because I really don't like Stevens, I just thought I couldn't do worse than a 0 again.
Well . . . all I know is that I am starting him in both of my leagues, in one league over Cooley. That Nate Jackson news just seals the deal. He is a big play TE with the 2nd best possible matchup (fantasy defenses vs TEs). The Broncos aren't going to run it on the Jets. I think Scheff has 4-6 receptions with 40-80 yards and a 50% shot at a TD.
Last year towards the end of the year I rememember him catching everything in sight. Broncos don't have much of a running game, and the Jets are a pretty good rush D.
If the Broncs are going to win, it'll be through the air.
It's time to put down the crack-pipe and step away from the keyboard.
