So my score was just altered for last week's game and instead of winning by 1.5 pts, I tied. So my record is 5-6-1 instead of 6-6. The thing is, I'm fighting for the last playoff spot and I'm going head to head with my main competition this week (last game of the season). He is 6-6, but has me considerably beat in points, so if I don't have the better record, he's getting in.

Team Him (6-6)
Team Me (5-6-1)

Obviously if I lose I'm out, but if I win it's:

Team Him (6-7)
Team Me (6-6-1)

Who wins there? Would my winning percentage be higher? Or am I screwed no matter what happens?

Yeah, this post is kind of stupid. I just rushed on here in a panic when I saw the score change. But I've been screwed by Yahoo in the past so I guess it doesn't hurt to make sure. !+)

a tie is always better than a loss, unless you are a brilliant hockey visionary in which case they are the worst thing in the world ;-7

You should be thankful that it ended in a tie. Two years ago in a first round playoff game, I orginally won by less than a point (the final was something like 123.3 to 122.5). But the next day the scores were adjusted and I ended up barely losing...I think my score fell by about a point and I lost 122.3 to 122.5. !+)
