Part of the bargain deal to get him the gun (which is the lowest power airsoft gun at 180fps) was that I'd also get him protective gear. So I got him a wicked cool looking piece of headgear designed for paintball, so it covers the face/ears quite well. I"d recommend something similar so no one

Yeah, I joke around, but I'm very careful. It will be locked away in the gun cabinet along with the real guns and he will not use it without my supervision. He has a bb gun that he takes out to the farm and "hunts" with me. It's still a little too large for him. He has to rest the butt underneath his arm so it's difficult for him to sight anything up. Next year should be the year of the .22. We'll see.
