Speculate on Arizona (Fantasy Wise) Next Year

Kurt Warner looks for a new contract but do the 98 Vikings teach the Cardinals that they will be throwing money away on an old QB. Anquan Boldin saays he won't come back to Arizona but will he change his mind when Warner who makes Boldin his 1A possibly get resigned. Will Breaston emerge as a new Boldin in the desert?

Unless they fix their running game and beef up their defense they will not succeed next year. People will call me a homer, but I think it's going to take a lot (which could easily be the coaching change) to keep the Seahawks from returning back as the winner of the NFC West.

Of course, they also seem to have the same running game/defense issue, so maybe the Cards do stay there.

I personally think the entire NFC West is a complete crap-shoot.
But about the Cards for next year, I think it all depends on Boldin and Warner. If both continue and get some help on defense I can see them making a serious run, but otherwise, I'm not holding my breath.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

:-?

With the exception of an injury plagued 2008 the Seahawks have owned the NFC West. How exactly is it a crapshoot?

How exactly is owning the NFC West something to be proud of? Hah.. Just kidding. Mostly. Haha. Sorry, it's hard to resist piling on the NFC West. :-) I think he meant this year and for the foreseeable future. The competition in the NFC certainly is a crap shoot. Each team has some good pieces going forward but which is going to be able to put it all together and avoid the injuries. By the way, even without the injuries, I still think Arizona would have taken the division this year.

Sounds like the Seahawks problem too.

Seahawks reign of terror is finally over.

This is Arizona's division this year and next in my opinion. Couple things will decide the division next year, if Kurt Warner comes back, if their defense can improve, how their running game will look like. How the Seahawks do with a new HC. If the Seahawks can stay injury free next year... If their D can get back to what it used to be.

San Fran and St Louis won't be in the discussion next year either.

I would be shocked if they ended 2009 with a record over 8-8. I would be willing to make a pretty big bet on that if anyone is interested.

Who cares what their record is :-°

Do you think Warner will have a decent year next year without Boldin? Hightower showed flashes this year, I gotta believe that Edge is done.
