That's not really that uncommon. A lot of times articles will get updated as new information is gained, rather than writing an entirely new article. It's more efficient, more organized, and quicker.

No, not like this. They materially changed the article, Flesh. They did a 180 on the story and failed to acknowledge it. There is a very big difference to the kind of fact-checking you're talking about and out-and-out changing the story.
