I won my big $$$ league by .45 points. This was due to the blocked field goal by the bears D at the end of the MNF game. Needless to say, I was going absolutely nuts. I overcame a deficit of 107 points after my opponent started off the week with Manning, MJD, Rhodes, and Clark on TNF. Big Ups go out to myself for starting my "Optimal Lineup", Matt Cassel, Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Santonio Holmes, Tashard Choice, and my main man Alex Brown for blocking Mason Crosby's field goal attempt and getting me the 2 points I needed FTW!
I repeated as champion, got to keep the trophy, and had a very nice payout in our winner takes all league.
Congrats to all the other champions out there. Championship Pop Bottles!
QB: Schaub RB: LT, P. Thomas, Benson, Maroney, Ganther WR: Megatron, Boldin, Britt, Roy Williams TE: Gates K: Hartley, Kaeding D/ST: Cincinnati, Tennessee
The only thing better than winning a championship against your super trash talking friends is doing it undefeated in the process (16-0). Thanks for the help in making them quiet this yr guys.
16- and 0 for Debro23? Thats awesome! That must be a rare occurance, I've never seen that in any of the leagues I've played in.
Congrats!
This was my best year ever. 3 leagues, 2 titles and a 5th place finish. The cafe was pretty helpfull this year, although no one wanted me to start Deangelo Williams the week he played Green Bay. (4 TDs!)
Keeper league, 12-2, studs were Brees, Greg Jennings, Anquan Boldin, Barber and Bush (early on) Chris Johnson and Steve Slayton later in the season. Both were waiver wire pickups for depth very early in the season. (10 team league) Major props go to Dallas Clark for going NUTS during our 2 week play offs. Did get a bit lucky, as the team I beat in the semi finals had Phillip Rivers. I beat them by 20 or so, but if they had been a higher seed instead of 4th they would have beat me in the week 16 title game.
Flex league: start 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 RB/WR flex. My first five draft picks (12 team redraft league) 1.11 Marshawn Lynch, 2.2 MJD, 3.11 Michael Turner 4.2 Calvin Johnson 5.11 Deangelo Williams. Also grabbed Kevin Walter at 14.2. Got good contributions from free agents TE Zach Miller and Shaun Hill after Schaub got hurt. The # 1 seed went 12-1 regular season, only loss was to me. I then squeeked by him in the title game thanks to Williams and his 4 TDs. My lucky year, guess I'll go buy a lottery ticket!
