What the hell guys? I've checked my mail box multiple time and still no gifts form my Cafe peeps.
Seriously though, what'd you guys get for Christmas? New TV? Sweet new shoes? New puppy? Lumps of coal? Did you get what you asked for or expected or were you surprised or let down?
How bout the gifts you gave? Anything cool or interesting?
Shannon and I actually decided to hold off on gifts till after the new year. We both want the same things, new sofa and love seat and a TV, so we decided to wait and benefit from the new year sales.
1) From my wife, I'm flying to Rochester MN next week to see my son wrestle in a tournament of the top 40 teams in the US. http://www.clashmn.org/
2) From my folks, they're flying me and my fam to Lake Havasu for spring break.
Sorry Met... I meant to get you those doner seats for the Ducks 2009 season, but I didn't have the money.

Ah, well... shouldn't be too rowdy on the golf course... and a nice break from 5 months of Oregon rain.
Ft. Lauderdale in the 80's is like a kids pizza party at Chuck-E-Cheese compared to Havasu today. I've never been myself but have lots of friends who have, I hear it can get quite rowdy and...um...revealing. I'm sure like anywhere though there are areas where the kids won't be..."exposed"...so to speak to stuff you don't want them to see.
And yeah it will be a nice break from the rain at least.

As for what I gave, I got my brother the actual 1st base from the September 5th, 2008 game at Shea Stadium. He was absolutely thrilled with it.

You will have to hit Treat and Myself up for what to do in Rochester. Unfortunately for me most of my time spent at Rochester has been at the Mayo Clinic, but in my younger years I played in many Basketball Tournaments in that town.
