You're probably referring to my post deluxe, although I know you weren't specifically referring to me.
I wouldn't consider my post "throwing out players." Most of the disagreement in here came from whether DeMarcus Ware or Ed Reed deserved DPOY over James Harrison. I tried to refute the argument for Reed by saying that Reed may not have been the best safety in the league this year, let alone the best player, using Polamalu as an example. The discussion didn't have much direction, so I thought saying something different than what was being said would be productive.
I used Polamalu because him and Reed were almost unquestionably the two best safeties in the league this year. After all, Reed received a unanimous 50 out of 50 possible All-Pro votes, and Polamalu got 46. Is that really biased?
Say the arguments for Polamalu are biased if you want. The reasons for presenting them may have been biased. After all, I'm definitely more inclined to argue in favor of the Steelers than against them. But so far, I've presented stats and arguments that support Polamalu over Reed, and I think that holds a lot more weight than:
