Rate my Dynasty - and the trade I just made - WHIR

Postby wickerkat » Thu Jan 22, 2009 11:56 pm

OK, just traded, how am I doing?

GAVE: Ryan + Slaton + Reggie W + Scaife + 2009 23rd pick + 2010 1st round (could be 1-12, I came in 2nd this year)
+
GOT: VYoung + Westbrook + Buckhalter + Ocho Cinco + 2009 3rd pick + 2019 2nd round (could be 13-24, guy came in 9th this year)

SO MY TEAM IS NOW:
(We start qb-rb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-te-k-d; 1 ppr)

Brees
Lefty
Young
Henne

ADP
Westy
Jacobs
McG
Buckhalter
Chester
RRice

KWalter
Coles
Ocho
Gage
Branch
Donte
JMorgan
Urban

DClark
JCarlson

Folk

Bears
Giants

I will have the #3, #13, and #24 picks. Could get one of Moreno/Wells/Crabtree/Maclin (doubt Crabtree); at 13 might get lucky enough to get one of Harvin/DHB/Stafford/Sanchez; who knows at 24.

THOUGHTS?

Leave a link, will help in return. I know. If Brees goes down I'm DEAD.

Well alot depends on which wr you get, Ocho Stinko or Chad Johnson, if you get the old CJ then you should be in good shape for the playoffs this year. You have alot of top draft picks this year to add youth and depth to your roster. I like your team for this season and for the future. Good luck.

True. And that depends on Palmer coming back strong and Housh staying, as well as a decent run game, maybe Cincy taking Wells or somebody similar. I am optimistic, not sure why. Also hoping that I get lucky with my #3/#13 picks.

Your team needs to win now IMO, even though you have some young RBs. I love ADP and like Jacobs. I'm not crazy about your WRs at all and I think #85 is vastly overrated, but he could have a rejuvinated year this year. You need WRs in a ppr league, period. I love your TEs. Clark will be huge this year. I think the end is near for Westy. Probably not this year, but soon. You have a very good chance to do really well this year. I see troubled times in the future if you don't upgrade at WR. Good that you have the #3 and #13 picks in your draft. Draft wisely.

sorry, this was an old roster, here is the updated lineup, any different thoughts now? starters in bold, 1 ppr

Brees, Drew NOS QB - 5 I've always loved Brees, but you still need a QB2
Freeman, Josh TBB QB - 8
Henne, Chad MIA QB - 6
Leftwich, Byron TBB QB - 8
Orton, Kyle DEN QB - 7

Brown, Ronnie MIA RB - 6 - Yawn, he's ok, but not great
Jacobs, Brandon NYG RB - 10 - Good RB, but this is a PPR league
McClain, Le'Ron BAL RB - 7 - Moving back to FB, but it doesn't matter because you own all of Balt's RBs. I'm not sure that's a good thing.
McGahee, Willis BAL RB (P) - 7 - hate him
Peerman, Cedric BAL RB - 7
Peterson, Adrian MIN RB - 9 - love him
Rice, Ray BAL RB - 7 - Not convinced he's their future. 2009 is very important for him
Taylor, Chester MIN RB - 9

Branch, Deion SEA WR (P) - 7
Gage, Justin TEN WR - 7
Iglesias, Juaquin CHI WR - 5
Nicks, Hakeem NYG WR - 10 - I like Nicks a lot, but we will see.
Smith, Steve CAR WR - 4 - Like Smith. You really upgraded your WRs.
White, Roddy ATL WR - 4
- Nice upgrade here.

Clark, Dallas IND TE - 6 - Will have huge 2009
Olsen, Greg CHI TE - 5 - Love Olsen with Cutler. Your TEs are great.

Folk, Nick DAL PK (Q) - 6 - yawn

Bears, Chicago CHI Def - 5 - should be ok
Giants, New York NYG Def - 10 - nice rebound year IMO for Giants Def

I did not like that trade at all. You took a soon to be 30 year old injured RB for a young Rb that had a great year. You traded a possible future stud QB for an over rated backup Qb. You downgraded big time at WR. Wayne has a great QB and plays in a pass happy offense. Ocho Cinco has a QB that is coming off an injury and does not want to play in Cincy. So, I see him dogging it this year. To top it off you gave up a future first round pick. I am really confused on this trade. I think you really hurt your team.
