Of course it was obvious he was joking...hence my remark back to him. I say the Steelers offense is effective enough against the Cards to allow the defense to put it away...24-17 Steelers

I was referring more to other responses matt, but yours had enough sarcasm for all of them. :-D

I agree iky, I think this game rests squarely on Roethlisberger's shoulders, and I couldn't be happier about that after seeing him play the way he did in the first two playoff games. The numbers aren't amazing, but the throws he was making were.

I'm going with 27-20 Stillers, although I'm expecting the Cardinals to jump out to an early 7 or 10 point lead as the Steelers' defense adjusts to Arizona's offense. And rough estimates on individual players...

Roethlisberger: 20-for-30 for 247 yards, 2 TDs, 1 turnover (MVP)
Parker: 23 carries, 85 yards, 1 TD
Holmes or Washington catches a 40+ yard touchdown pass
Mike Tomlin: 0 attempted onside kicks, fake punts, or dumb fourth down conversions :-B

Warner: 22-for-40, 250 yards, 2 TDs, 2 turnovers
Edge: 17 carries, 42 yards
Fitz: 7 catches, 80 yards, TD
Boldin: 5 catches, 70 yards

Aaaah Bandwagon fans are piling up! Oh well, might as well. It's been way too long. Cards are NFL's "40 year-old virgins" only in this case it's been over 60 years. And just like any pathetic being making it to the top the whole America's is cheering. I'm just trying to frame this moment in my mind so I can tell my grandkids that their horrific Cardinals DID play in the SuperBowl XLIII :-)

P.S. Hey, Steel curtain guys, is your team as hated as the Lakers and the Yankees? I'm slowly getting that vibe, cuz now I got bunch of "co-fans" just sayin EF the Steelers )))

Pretty much. They're a love them or hate them team. There's not a whole lot of inbetween when it comes to the Steelers. And just like the Lakers and Yankees, its a winning thing. The Steelers win consistantly, so people who arent fans hate them. ;-D

While I think I would like to see the Cards win, I could really see PIT shutting down Warner like they did Romo late in the season.

But for the most part, I don't really care. The most important thing is, can they cover the 7-point spread? :-?
