The owner of the 1.1 draft pick in our dynasty league has put the pick on the block for trade, he also has my 1.6 pick from a previous trade during the season(the trade involved R. Brown). Should I go after the pick, I was almost thinking of offering Williams for his 1.1 and a rb, either McFadden or Mendenhall. Any thoughts? Standard scoring, 0.5ppr, 6pts all tds.
My Team QB- Eli, Palmer, Orton WR - Fitz, Calvin, Colston, Sydney Rice, Hixon RB- Peterson, D.Williams, Ronnie Brown, R. Bush, LJ, M. Bush, Caddy, C.Taylor TE- Dallas Clark, O. Daniels
His Team QB- Rodgers, Campbell, J. Russell WR- Wayne, Royal, Stockley, Randle El, Stallworth, DJ Hackett, Sweed RB- McFadden, J. Stewart, Mendenhall, Kevin Jones, J. Charles, Sammy Morris TE-Boss, Schincoe
I expect McFadden to do really well in PPR Leagues, so I'd float the DWill for McFadden/1.01 deal and see what happens. I expect DWill to be good, but like most, I expect Stewart to steal his thunder eventually. If you can get two very talented young RBs for him (McFadden/Knowshon), I'd definately be willing to make that trade...

Not a McFadden fan........looks like they are in for years of issues, unless Al kicks the bucket......
SO I would work on mendenhall......I think he is a year away......but I like where he is at you Tomlin is going to run the ball!!! And FWP is better as a compliment than the main guy......
Orton < Rogers D Will >>> Mendenhall S Rice < Sweed 1.1
I agree more with the last post about Mendenhall. I am not a McFadden fan but depending on what you give up he might help. I think you can get more for DeAngelo Williams though although I would probably hold onto him. You know he is good but you never know what you get in a rookie to pro transition...ie Kijana Carter. Williams is young and Stewart will keep hits off of him. I think he will stay the main guy and Stewart will become hte goal line guy in Carolina. (Thanks for help on mine.)

I'll back BBB on this one. A few reports out of Pitt after Mendy's injury bothered me about him. McFadden on the other hand I like in a PPR league although Bush spooks me a bit as I have a feeling he is the best RB on that roster. I was compeltely wrong about DWill last year so take this with a grain of salt but really, you don't sit first round draft picks so Stewart will get touches adn I actualyl feel he is just a more talented back.
You have the depth at RB to do the deal and get by this year as a legit contender while getting younger at RB.
If I were to target Mendenhall, who I think he is low on right now, should I look to trade him DWill for Mendenhall and 1.1?? That would net me Mendenhall and whatever top rb I want, or should I look at Crabtree?? Should I make the trade bigger, look to get more draft picks from him? ANy thoughts???
I think McFadden is going to have a decent year, Mend scares me a bit. they have been saying he isnt rehabbing at team facilities. Mcfad is going to get more touches this year and should put up some decent numbers.

If he's low on Mendy right now, I don't think you have to make him part of a blockbuster deal. This guy needs TE help too, so I'd float the idea of upgrading him to Daniels for Mendy. Maybe something along the lines of your: Daniels/Caddy for Mendy/Boss. Then, you'd still be able to pursue the 1.01 in some other kinda trade if you wanted to...

Mendy is scaring you, but remember some dynasty heads had him #1 of last year's talented class. He has a problem fumbling the ball but he does have hte body of a greek god you have to admit that.
I think I'd rather get D-Fad myself he's guarenteed his touches this year and was the best athelete in the draft. Remember though, Reggie Bush.
Why is Mendy's injury scaring anyone? I just read that he is healthy enough to practice at the facility and could of played in the Super Bowl but he was already placed on Ir, he sounds like he's already ready to go, but not just his injury he just never impressed me at all this year, even in flashes...He certainly has the tools, but I didn't see anything from him that shown he can be a difference maker, while McFadden's scenario is tougher being in Oakland with 2 other backs but he has the higher ceiling and looks to be a bigger game-changer then Mendenhall at the very least.
If it were me, I'd try and shop Bush instead, he is going to lose alot of his thunder to Pierre, and Bush just cannot stay healthy, yes he is a beast when he's out there but the constant knee scoping worries me, he's a good candidate to shop around...While Deangelo may not have the same type of year he's shown through college and the pro's he's durable and I don't expect him to fall off much, I wouldn't be too excited about moving him for McFadden and an unknown pick.
I personally would do Bush for 1.1 and Stewart if he did it(not sure how high he is on Stewart) but that gives you the Carolina backfield, Stewart has a very bright future(much more so then McFadden or Mendy IMHO), and 1.1 could give you the big play Rb like Chris Wells leaving you with Wells, Deangelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Peterson, Ronnie Brown, and Michael Bush which is a very solid rotation...I'd also look to move LJ or even include him in this deal i fyou have to, his value isn't very high and it's doubtful you ever start him with your depth, but he could be a deal breaker for something that's on the fence.
