Well, the first head scratcher for me of the season. 12 team true dynasty with PPR.
Start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 dst, 1 k.
Went 11-2 in the leagues first year and lost in the finals to the guy that has made me the offer. It is a very fair offer and that is what is bothering me.
He has offered MB3 and Miles Austin for Calvin. Now, it is legit but with PPR WR's outscore a RB and I also made a deal and have the 1st overall rookie pick so I can go either direction and draft Moreno or Crabtree.
Starters
Warner ADP Pierre/Lendale/Jamal (I know, weak) AJ Calvin Marshall Daniels NYJ ? don't remember
As a 1st year dynasty I do not have a ton of depth behind these guys but it isn't garbage either, I can get by with a minor injury or bye week fillers. Main backups... Penny and Garrard at QB adn Matt Jones and Devery Henderson at WR. I own 1.01, 1.12 and 2.11(I think, may be 2.02 but doubtful) in the rookie draft.

Well this is a very fair offer here, and I"m not even including Austin. I think with MBIII being banged up this past year and how Jones and Choice played you could see his playing time go down. So do you trade potentially the top wr out there and replace him with a rookie wr? I would stick with your roster and get yourself a top rb in the draft. I think you also need to look at a young qb to replace Warner in the next year or so. Good luck.
Well, you're going to have to move one of those WRs for a stud RB to fill that hole you have at RB2, so this just basically comes down to: Is this that trade for you? I think it's solid value and it helps your overall team out, but I'd be fine with passing if you're not high on Barber. Personally, I don't think Jones and Choice are that big of a threat to the carries of a healthy Barber. Do you think any other owner will trade you a better RB than Barber for one of those WRs? Personally, I'd counter by either taking out Austin and asking for a pick upgrade, or by making it: Calvin/Jamal for Barber/his WR2. Something like that...

Giving up Calvin Johnson in a PPR dynasty league would be tough to do. Unless you're completely comfortable with the deal I wouldn't do it. Something like this could really come back to bite you, especially when you're trading with one of your top competitors.
I'd counter with either Turner or CJ4.24, whichever you like more. Given that we don't know how Turner will respond to his huge workload last year (not to mention he won't be getting you much in terms of PPR points) I don't think trading for him would be a wise gamble.
I really, really like Calvin long term, but CJ4.24 looks to be a pretty special talent as well. If I were you I'd try to get CJ4.24 for Calvin straight up then grab Crabtree with your 1st pick. Crabtree isn't on the same level as Calvin, but he should be a quality WR3 for you next year and he'll only get better from there.
Course even if you do that, you still run the risk of either Beanie Wells or Moreno going to great spots in the draft then missing out on what they could have given you at RB2.
Very difficult situation. Like I said above, unless you're completely convinced you're getting a good deal, it wouldn't be smart to give up Calvin in a PPR dynasty. Don't force yourself into doing something you're not comfortable with.
Yeah, I just can't say I am sold on the offer. He has Choice and Jones as well and is looking to basically only move Barber. He upped his offer making it more than fair but I believe Choice and Jones will be the Dallas RB's in 2 years. This makes MB3 iffy in my books. Where will he go?
Right now, I am debating between who could be the better rookie pick between Moreno and Crabtree, that may sway me into pulling the trigger.

No, I don't think anyone will but do I need it. I am a big fan of Pierre and feel he will be a solid RB2.
To me, it boils down to this... I deal Calvin and solve my RB2 issue with someone who produces fairly good numbers but I don't like and have doubts he will last more than 2 years. I then draft Crabtree to replace Calvin.
or
I keep Calvin, deal with my RB2 with Jamal, Pierre and Lendale and draft Moreno to hopefully be the missing piece.
No. Keep Calvin. Especially if Detroit goes for a QB in the draft. With the #1 pick you can go for either Crabtree (and keep or trade) or take one of Moreno/Wells. OR...you could trade DOWN that #1 pick to somebody who has a major jones for Crabtree, and depending on how far you trade down, pick up one of
crabtree, moreno, wells, shady, shonn, maclin
later, and still come out ahead
if you traded the #1 for the #5/#6 you could ask for a rb from somebody that is stacked, or if you know you are doing to still get a shady or shonn, pick up a decent wr
