I think until the April Draft it's too difficult to assess the Fantasy landscape of this potential deal.

Will the Texans bring in another back to potentially staeal carries from Slaton. Houston HC Gary Kubiak is a big believer in the RBBC (Shanahan disciple -- ugghh!) and tried to have one with Ahman Green last year but Green wouldn't hold up over the season.

Also, will Kurt Warner be back with the Cards? Or will Anquan Boldin? Good debate whether Boldin's potential departure from the desert might actually be good for Fitz's stats -- I think it would.

So, I am thinking we see Boldin in new colors in the fall, and I think Warner will return. I think Slaton will lose carries to a new RB in Houston, and his value is headed down.

Keep Fitzgerald -- at least for now. Check out the dealings at the NFL Draft and the decide. Fitz will be a hot commodity whether Boldin stays or goes, but you'll have a chance to assesss the Slaton situation better once Houston drafts.
I have the doomsday device!

I wasn't disagreeing (I too would keep Fitz). I was just pointing out your somewhat refutable prognostication. ;-D

The best way I can discribe my advice would be that if you hold out until the draft unfolds, Fitz's value is going to remain the same. Slaton, however, could see a decrease in value. Worst-case-scenario, offer him this trade after the Houston landscape shapes itself out. I don't think this is a bad trade, persay, but why not use the luxury of finding out what's going on with Slaton if you can afford to do so?
