Postby Niner_Fan4 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 7:54 am

Hey guys, alright:

12 Team Dynasty with PPR - otherwise standard scoring. $125 league
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1Flex (RB/WR), 1TE, 1K, 1DEF

I took 3rd last year, but knew I was going to need to re-shuffle going into the off-season. I would like to know how you think it looks so far, if you like the final pice I am trying to put together and whether you have any other advice.

Cheers:

Team was:

QB: P. Manning, Garrard
RB: Westbrook, Jacobs, Grant, Ward, Bradshaw, B. Jackson, Green-Ellis
WR: Wayne, Holmes, Bryant, Chambers, Muhammad, Hixon, Bryant Johnson.
TE: Daniels, Carlson
K: Bironas
DEF: Washington
Picks: 2.01, 3.10

I have made the following trades:

1) Gave: Manning, Westie, Muhammed, 2nd 2010 for Rodgers, L. Moore, Chicago and 1.06
2) Gave: Wayne, Bryant, Grant and JAckson, 2.01 for Jennings, Royal, LenDale, 1.09, 2.09
3) Gave: Holmes and L. Moore for Boldin 1.11, 3.12

so team is currently

Rodgers, Garrard
Jacobs, LenDale, Ward, Bradshaw, Green-Ellis
Boldin, Jennings, Royal, Chambers, Hixon, Stuckley
Daniels, Carlson
Bironas
Washington, Chicago
1.06, 1.09, 1.11, 2.09, 3.10, 3.12

My last offer out is:

Give: JAcobs, Bradshaw, Boldin, Chambers, 1.06, 1.09, 1.11
Get: McFadden, M. Bush, Roddy, DeSean, 1.01

So lets here it ;)

To be honest your original team was the best IMO.

I gotta agree.
Giving away Peyton Manning, Westy, Reg Wayne and Holmes surely is a head-scratcher for me. :-*

Well I do have to admit I do like it when people are active and making moves, it always makes for a much more interesting league. So I have to admit I'm not totally on board with all of your moves. I don't really like the Manning trade, I think that you gave up too much in that deal. I know that Manning is getting older, but he should still have another 3yrs minimum of being a top qb. Your rb's I don't think are that much worse overall, but alot depends on what happens with White, but again I think you gave up alot here. Now for your wr's I think you really upgraded here and will be set for a few seasons.
Overall I think you have a solid team, your team is younger and should be solid for the next 3-5 years. Alot will depend on what you do with all of your draft picks that you have acquired. Good luck.

My last offer out is:

Give: JAcobs, Bradshaw, Boldin, Chambers, 1.06, 1.09, 1.11
Get: McFadden, M. Bush, Roddy, DeSean, 1.01

Why would you want to do this trade?

Jacobs>>>McFadden, even though McFadden is younger, Jacobs is a TD machine and a starter every week downgrading to someone you "hope" can produce.
Bradshaw<Bush so that's a plus, but it's not a huge jump, both guys are in a crowded backfield but Bradshaw is a bet to produce more next year though.
Boldin=Roddy
DeSean=Chambers, maybe DeSean gets the age nod but there really not all that far apart.

Also there isn't a dominant person in this class to want that 1st pick, so I see no sense in giving up THREE 1st to get the top pick, you would be much better served using those picks, or trying to trade one of them for a veteran RB...Your giving up too much Rb production in that trade if you ask me and leaving your RB core bare.

I like your WR's more then before, and you got a good QB while getting younger, I don't think Westy can even finish one more full season but you need to address Rb again I think, try to find another productive RB...But I would definately pass on that last deal.
