Who should I keep?

This is a 14 team PPR league. QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF/ST
1 pt 25 yds passing, 1 pt 10 yds rushing, 1 pt for 10 yds rec, 6 pts rush/red TD, 4 pts pass TD, 1 pt per rec.


I have 4 holdovers going into the 2009 season, and need to submit them within a couple of weeks.

I am keeping P. Manning, S. Jackson, B. Edwards, and need help on the 4th.

My best two options are J. Addai and R. Grant.

Should I keep Grant and try to trade Addai for a pick(s) or keep Addai, try to trade Grant for a pick?

This is a tough call as their performance were both were quite a disappointment. Addai posted only 544 rushing yards, 25 receptions/206 receiving yards and a total of 7 TDs while Grant was able to register 1203 rushing yards, 18 receptions/116 yards and a total of 6 TDs. Considering these stats and the fact that Addai has become prone to injuries (only played 12 games) maybe I would go with Grant. Moreover, the presence of Rhodes lowers Addai's value.

What is your spot in the draft order btw? I was thinking that you could opt to drop Manning as there is a chance that you can snag him again during your drafting.

AS I tell everyone, trade, trade, trade. There must be a weaker team that is in need of RB's. Deal both Grant and Addai for the top 10 RB. Both have question marks but if you ahve to keep one, Grant would be my choice by a small margin.

Trades are more philosophical than practical. They aren't as common as one would like. If I had to choose, I would keep Grant and Addai over Edwards. If I had to choose between the two I would go with Addai simply because I think if they're both healthy that Addai is better. Go big or go home.

I too would throw back Edwards and keep both Addai and Grant.

I would keep both Addai and Grant over Edwards. See if you can package Addai/Edwards or Grant/Edwards for a stud WR like Andre Johnson, Fitz or Calvin Johnson. Or a stud RB

Agreed, I'd keep both RBs over Edwards, but I'd definately be trying to come up with some two for one trades before you have to declare...
