Dynasty trade? Addai for Stewart & 3rd round pick

Postby kyguy78 » Sun Feb 15, 2009 7:53 am

Guy in my dynasty league has offered me Stewart and a 3rd round pick for Addai. Do you guys think I should pull the trigger?

My roster:

QB: Rivers, Eli, Brohm
RB: SJax, LJ, DeAngelo Williams, Addai, Chris Johnson, Selvin Young
WR: Calvin Johnson, Jennings, S. Moss, Bess, Galloway, Avery
TE: Daniels, Watson

I would hold off. Addai is still young and a starting RB on an explosive offense. People are trying to buy low on him right now.

First off, I like your stable of RBs -- very strong.

Looking at your roster, I can see why you have some interest in this move. I don't think you get enough value from this trade. That 3rd round pick is garbage.

I would counter with Addai for Stewart, a QB2 or a WR3, and his first round pick. And I may settle for his 2nd round pick, if that 2nd player (QB2 or WR3) was good enough. Can you post his roster as well, maybe I can make a recommendation for who to ask for?

I love the idea of you getting Stewart for Addai because I like Stewart more in a dynasty because Addai will probably be splitting carries too, but that 3rd just isn't enough...I'd probably do Stewart and Santana Moss for Addai and whatever WR he had that would give you a significant upgrade to pair with Jennings and Calvin, or like what was already stated at least a 2nd if it's early enough.

I'd actually rather try to shop DWill to him for his RB1 and another upgrade, but if you're gonna trade for Stewart, then I agree with the others that it would take more than a 3rd Rounder to give up Addai. I'd try for Stewart/1st for Addai/2nd or something like that instead... ;-D
