Do you have to drop 3 players in order to participate in the rookie/FA draft? If you are able to only drop one or two, where would you pick? Also, what pick would you have overall if you did indeed drop 3 players?
Knowing your draft spot would help to determine if it's worth it to participate. Your team is really solid for a 12 man league. The only player I'd consider dropping is Dominic Rhodes. If you must drop 3 to participate in the draft, then I'd stick with what you have and try to upgrade at QB through trades. You have plenty of RB and WR depth to play around with.
Well like others have said, alot would depend on draft position, if you only drop 1 do you just get your first round pick? The three I would consider dropping would be Hill, Rhodes and Hixon. Good luck.
If we want to do the mini draft then we have to drop 3 players (no kicker/def).
I will have the 5th pick in the mini draft, and it will be conducted in a non-serpentine order.
The league began last season I got lucky with some of the picks in the draft.... CJohnson in the 7th, FJones in the 8th, Royal in the 14th, PThomas in the 15th, Keller in the 17th.
Right now it's hard to know who is already a FA and who will be dropped by the other teams choosing to do the mini draft (and how many teams will actually draft), but trying to get an idea if I have 3 guys to toss back into the redraft pile?
I would drop the three players and hope for the best in the draft with the 1.5 spot.-- and I agree with TNF in that it should be Morris, Hill, and Rhodes.
I would envision that at the 1.5 slot you will have what's left of the top rookies and a few "top" free agents. Any of those scenarios makes your squad better than keeping the three that you are dropping instead. And worst case scenario, you draft one of the dropped players back onto your team -- so I don't see the downside for throwing the 3 players back.

Agreed.
Basically think of it like this. Whoever you get at 1.05 (probably Brown) is worth far more than those three combined. The 2nd and 3rd rounders are just gravy.
