Randy Moss and 1.03 for LT?

Postby danielgreen091 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 8:14 pm

I am being offered LT for my Randy Moss and 1.03. Is this good value? I have great depth at RB, but no clear RB1. Conversly I have 3 great WR's but little to no depth. Even if this is good value, would I be robbing Peter to pay Paul?

We start QB, RB,RB, WR,WR,WR,RB/WR/TE, TE,K,DEF

My roster
QB's
T. Romo
M. Schaub

RB's
W. McGahee
J. Lewis
J. Stewart

WR's
B. Marshall
R. Moss
A. Boldin
P. Crayton
J. Porter

TE's
O. Daniels
J. Shockey

K
Bironas

DEF
Eagles

My Rookie Draft Picks
1.3
1.11
2.3
2.6
2.9
3.3

Personally I wouldnt make the deal. I am involved in several leagues and Im seeing that LT is almost being shunned by most owners. Although I personally think he still has 1-3 years left, in a keeper league I keep Moss and the 1.03. I traded LT for 2 #1's and a #3 in one league, but in another I cant get anyone to offer anything at all. I think if you trade Moss, you have only 2 WR's and NEED another one just to start, Crayton is not a starter, and Porter is unemployed. LT would help your Lineup but Id rather draft a top HB with the 1.03 and have Moss to boot, than have LT and an open WR slot.

Well to me you are trading aging star for aging star and giving up a top draft pick also. LT still had a good year stats wise, but he has hit the "age" that most rb's start to decline and he has been banged up the past few years. Moss did have a down year compared to his first year in NE, but can still see him being productive for the next 2-3 years. I would take Moss and another young talent on my team over LT right now. Good luck.

Not with the 1.03 thrown in there. Too steep a price. I love LT and think he has 2 more solid years in him. IF Brady comes back strong, Moss alone could outpoint LT and then in a dynasty you are giving up Moreno, Wells or Crabtree as well.

Pass on the deal.
