Could this be the new look? Not sure if I'm a fan of these ones, but not as ugly as the Black phase we went through a couple of years ago. They remind me of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts.

A SNEAK PEEK AT THE NEW LIONS UNIFORMS? Posted by Mike Florio on March 15, 2009, 1:29 p.m.
We’ve recently received via e-mail from several readers an image of what supposedly will be the team’s new uniform and logo.
At this point, we can’t tell whether or not it’s legit. We’ve conferred with some of our connections in the Detroit media, and for now it’s simply not known whether this is what the team’s new threads will look like.
The one thing that makes us think that maybe there’s something to this is the notching in the letters of the word “Lions” and in the numbers. That’s the kind of detail that some slappy who’s trying to launch a hoax would most likely likely overlook.
Not bad. I don't want them to mess with the colors or color scheme all that much, but I have no problems with a new logo - even if I did just get a new hat last year
I don't have a problem with a change in colors (or colours as we say in Canada) - heck, it worked for the Bucs so it's worth a try!!!
I'm not sold on this color though - hard to tell from a photo since lighting can affect it, but it almost looks a little too Seahawkish for my liking (not the same I realize, but still too close):

NFLshop.com spilled the beans on the new Lions logo, while showing a $16.99 mini-tractor-trailer devoted to the Lions, in the New Arrivals link. The page has since been removed.
I like what they did with the logo, small change but does look more like a lion now. I really never had any issues with the logo/colors so i'm glad the changes aren't huge.
Lions will unveil new uniforms next Monday BY CARLOS MONARREZ • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • April 13, 2009
The Lions announced they will unveil a new logo and new uniforms next Monday at Dunham’s Sports in Madison Heights. The news conference is open to the public, but the time has not been determined.
Immediately after the announcement, new team merchandise will be available at the Madison Heights store and also at detroitlions.com. Team merchandise will then be made available for retail purchase at Dunham’s outlets in Michigan through Thursday. It will be distributed more widely after that.
Team president Tom Lewand made veiled comments about the event while speaking with reporters today at Ford Field. Lewand conceded that he was encouraged about the new look of the Leaping Lion logo, an alleged version of which was leaked last month on nflshop.com.
“The interest in everything, I think, is heartening because the interest level that people have ever since we teased the possibility that this may be coming is, I think, very indicative of the interest level that our fans have in the real product, which is out there on Sunday afternoons,” Lewand said. “That gives us great confidence, although a recognition of great responsibility that we have to get that product right first, no matter what the package looks like.”
