My Brady and R Bush for his Addai and Cutler (dynasty)

Postby matttyl315 » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:16 am

Title says it all. Give up Brady and Bush and get Addai and Cutler in a dynasty league with .5 point for receptions. I do have some lack of depth at RB that this move would help with. The move also breaks up my Bush/Colston combo and my Brady/Welker combo.

Current roster -

Brady, Rodgers, V Young, Bulger
Grant, Bush, McGahee, Torain, L Washington, J Charles
Colston, S Smith (CAR), Welker, Holmes, Branch
Cooley, Heap

All players involved are fairly close in value, but I've got:

Brady > Cutler
Bush > Addai

So to me it looks like a slight downgrade at both spots, and no I wouldn't do it.

Hmm, I had Brady just slightly over Cutler, but both with risk right (for obvious, but different reasons).

I do, though still have Addai over Bush.

I wouldn't do it as of right now. With all of this Cutler asking for a trade stuff out there, I wouldn't touch him with a 10ft pole. Plus, I don't like Addai that much more than Bush especially in a PPR

He swapped Addai out for Gore. Now the deal is Gore and Cutler for Brady and Bush. Make it any better for me?

I have a hunch Brady will be back to his 2007 self this year, but the swap does make it REALLY tempting, as Gore is quite a bit better than Addai.

Singletary likes the RBBC approach, but as yet Gore is still the lone feature back in the SF offense. He's borderline top 5 RB in PPR.

I think I'd take the trade, but wait as long as you can to see if the Cutler situation changes. I don't think he'll leave Denver, but almost anywhere he goes will decrease his value if he does.

My thoughts.....between Rodgers and Cutler, I can "matchup base" a really good starter each week. Brady does still have some injury risk associated with him as well. Week to week, between Rodgers and Cutler, I should be able to find a very good start. Also, I know it's still a long-shot, but I still have Vince Young. I could end up with 3 very talented and young QBs that I could trade out in another year or two.

As for RBs, this move has to help me greatly. I'm a bit concerned with Grant being my #1 and Bush my #2 going into the season without a first round pick.

Also, we start 1 RB, 2 WRs, and 2 flex, so if needed I could go 4 WRs weekly. Not that I would, but I at least could. This move gives me another weekly RB option no matter the circumstances.

I don't like this trade. I think Addai is on his way down. Brady is the top QB and Cutler's situation right now makes it a little iffy. If he ends up on the Browns or a run first offense his numbers will drop. He had big numbers last year because the Broncos were hurting at RB with I think 103 of them going on IR. I would stay pat and address your RB depth threw the draft or some other trade.

Good luck

Still no deal with Gore. Brady is too much of a loss and in a PPR Bush is a solid RB.

Switching Gore for Addai helps but I would refrain from making that deal as Brady is too big a loss and Cutler's situation is worse then Brady's injury question as a trade to the wrong team can kill a Cutler whose has shown to be emotionally fragile.
