I love the idea.................. 2 pre season games should suffice, the dudes can get themselves in shape prior to the season, and then 2 games to get match fitness. I can't see changing 2 games from pre season to regular season is gonna create a substantial injury concern.....well, certainly not for me!

these dudes get enough of my money....I wanna kick back and enjoy with my beer ;-D

here is a previous discussion from during last season on the same topic...

my thoughts to sum up are basically...
I'm okay with more games if you add one neutral site game (such as Toronto, England, Mexico City, or markets where teams don't normally play such as a Chiefs vs Dolphins played in Arizona) and than add an extra bye week to the schedule right after the neutral site game.

If they do that...I'd be willing to let them add one or two more regular games to the schedule.

Don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't mind me some extra football.

Me too, but I'd like a scenario where there weren't bye weeks so I didn't have to worry about those da** K's Def's and TE's, lol!!!

If the NFL hasn't announced a change by now does this mean it is NOT happening?

It has to be negotiated into the next CBA so it can't happen this season but maybe '10 or '11.

There are 2 pre season games and 18 regular season games in the CFL (has been like that for a long time) ..... 4 preseason games is a huge waste IMHO .... give each team two bye's instead of one to help the players stay healthy if that is a huge concern even though I don't see many more injuries in the CFL then the NFL?
