My thinking is I'm ready to go next season (& beyond), but could use better depth at qb. Currently, I have two rookie draft picks, but not sure if I even need them because they would have a hard time making this team imo.
Your team does look good, but more on paper then anything. Your qb's definatly need help after Rodgers and your runningbacks are injurys waiting to happen. I would use a pick on a young QB like Stafford or Sanchez and take one of the new Rookie runningbacks with the other.
Cincy
My league consists of 8 teams. We keep all players every year. Team rosters cannot exceed 28 players excluding defense. Every year we have a 3 round entry draft with the bottom 4 teams being in a lottery for the 1st overall pick.We start 2 qbs, 3rbs, 3 wrs, 2tes and 1 d. Basic point system..1 point 25 yards qb..1 point 10 yards rb/wr/te rush or recieving. 6 points for all tds run/throw/catch...minus 2 for int/fum.. At the end of the year each team draws a player from a hat and that player becomes a free agent and is put into a silent auction. My team consists of the following: manning-romo-warner-shaubb-kitna andre johnson-edwards-clayton-owens-marshall-jennings peterson-thomas jones-stewart-taylor-benson-julious jones-graham-micheal bush danials-winslow-witten baltimore-chicago.
The league is entering its 7th year, i won it in 2008.
I tend to agree with Cincy.... I really like your team with the exception of QB which leaves me very nervous. If anything should happen to Rodgers (..and it very well could!), you be in the doo-doo. Bulger and The Rams individually, and combined are not fantasy options. Leinart is nothing more than a dice roll. By the time Warner hangs it up in AZ, Leinart is unlikely to be the replacement.
Your set as RB......I am a big fan of Tashard Choice
Your starting WR trio is very solid, Marshall is a PPR monster, Colston is a WR1 in my eyes, VJax is a very sweet WR3. I would try and get a younger guy in to replace Chad and Holt as bye week fill ins.WR3's
At TE, KW3 is better than most. No longer elite, but not a primary area of concern.
Your priority should be QB, but dont EVER pass up a strong rookie RB if he's available in the rookie draft. Even if you dont need him, he will have high end trade value.
Nice roster.....I see another post season trip for you.........potential injury to Rodgers notwithstanding!
Good job, and best of luck
Kudos to the uberdesigner 'soty' for the sig!

Thanks for the responses!!! Definitely will be concentrating on a qb.
Interesting comments about Johnson & Holt in the sense I'm planning to keep Chad at least one more year, but am looking to trade Holt (just hate to drop him for nothing when he does have something left in the tank and there are teams in this league that could really use him), so we shall see. There are actually plenty of young wr's on the ww at the moment: James Jones, Miles Austin, Chaz Schilens, JL. Higgins, & Mike Walker just to name a few that have potential (and of course, the rookie wr's), but not enough to subplant Holt.

With the Cafe's help (see my other thread in the Draft Forum), made a trade to get Flacco and got Michael Bush as well (who I've liked since college), so here's my team roster at this moment:
In the trade, I gave up my Bulger, Jets D, & the 1.08 pick, so presently only have the 2.08 pick (20th overall). Unless Sanchez is there at the 2.08 pick, figure to pick a TE or WR (like Dillard)....OR, trade out/down and pick up a couple of 3rd rounders as the TE's are plentiful this year.
Also picked up Branch & Schilens off the ww. Branch I've had in the past and has been productive when healthy & available and Schilens I actually have on my other fantasy team as well and see really good potential (especially if the Oakland qb situation improves). If either don't work out, can always pick up M.Vick (not far fetch as one might think).
Well, that's all on this team as of this moment.......
What do you think (of the trade)? Do you see any other improvements that could be/should be considered???
As always, thanks a bunch for all the help/input!!!
I really like that trade for you. I like the fact that you got a young QB to back up Rodgers, because I personally think Bulger is done.
If I were you, I would look to deal Hightower to the owner who drafts Beanie Wells. Hightower will probably never crack your starting lineup. I would look to package Hightower/V. Jackson for a WR upgrade and possibly a draft pick.
