DE Igor Olshansky - FA from Chargers

Igor (gotta love the name) is no Chris Canty but might be one of the better free agent moves so far by the Boyz. His numbers aren't stellar with the Chargers but I'd look for the stats to pickup a bit in his 6th season!

I think he will be fine. He is just a step below Canty but with improvement can fill in nicely. He knows the system from playing with Wade in SD.

I like Igor, the only dropoff we get with losing Canty is that Igor isn't the pass-rusher that Canty is, but he's much stronger and can hold his own against the run much better...He'll do a good job sucking up double teams for Ratliff and Ware and holding his ground which is what we'll mainly expect from him.

He's played in this scheme and played well, he should be motivated back with Wade, and looking at the cost I'd take him at this price over Canty with what NY paid him every day of the week...3-4 DE's are easily replaced unless were talking about Richard Seymour types, and Canty is no Seymour.
