That's cool. I'd love to have originals of those historical moments. I used to browse around the BBC website, they have (or at least used to have) 'this date in history' articles. It was interesting to look up dates and read not only the 'current' news articles from it but also to appreciate the historical perspective of it. Studying the outcome of WWII is one thing; reading what the journalist wrote while V1 and V2 rockets were hitting London is something else indeed.

Yeh, they have cool ones on e-bay that I like to look at, never bought one yet though - here's a link:

and that's just the war related ones

Me too. I also bought papers in Colombia when the U.S. hostages were rescued from the FARC and when the FARC leader got killed - big time news there.

Oh! And when it reported about the earthquake I lived through. Scary! :-*

Use to have them delivered on Sunday up until last year...coupons you know?!

Now, if Hilton doesn't give me a USA today each morning...I could care less.

I think most hotels do that now. Last three hotels I worked for we stacked them up in the lobby for free...

I've been buying the Phialdelphia Daily News everyday before work for the last 12 years. I would be lost without it. I routinely get to the job about 30 minutes early and ritually have my WAWA French Vanilla Cappuchino , and read the News Paper, and listen to my favorite Morning Radio show "Preston and Steve", in my car, everyday during the week.

Gosh, I can't wait to get back to Philly. Daily News every morning. WaWa. Mmmmm...! I love their tuna hoagies!

Mr. Blitz, this isn't the forum, but here's my welcome back to you! (even though I wasn't around before you left!)
