Big trade Forte for Fitzgerld and 2nd rd pick

Postby baddhipp2 » Mon Mar 30, 2009 1:00 pm

I'm in a 12 man, 3man keeper and i was offered fitzgerld and his 2nd rd pick for Forte....
What u cats think? I'm seriously thinking about this offer....

My keepers are Forte, MJD and s.Jax we can start 3 rb's if we want...... as of right now i dont have a 2nd rd pick due to a trade... I think its a good deal......

He's smart to try and trade Fitz now...his value has never been higher. Boldin might be staying in Arizona so that hurts Fitz's value. I'd still do the deal if I were you, but I agree with above comments of trying to get more out of him as far as draft picks. It is tough not having a second round pick, I can see how this deal is attractive to you...

There's a good chance Fitz will be producing in Fantasy longer than Forte, so I say pull the trigger on this one...

From a value standpoint, it's a bit in his favor. Remember, that 2nd round pick is really a 5th rounder, since you keep 3. That means the player that you will get will probably be valued in the mid-40's overall, at best.

Where do you pick rounds 1-3? Where does he pick in rounds 1-3? I'd be happy to make some suggestions, but it would be helpful to have this information. Also, who is he keeping?

FWIW I rank your keepers as:

MJD
Forte

SJax.

Would he show any interest in SJax? If you could swap Jackson for Forte I would do the Fitz +2nd rounder in a heartbeat.

I'm not sure I like any of these moves for you here. Fitz's value is at an all time high right now, and I don't see it getting any higher than it is. But how many other teams can roll out a three headed monster at rb like you will be. I'm not as down on SJax as alot of people, if they get some o-line help Spags will go to more of a power running game which should help SJax out, along with him staying healthy. I think I would look to draft wr's for your team and keep your starting three rb's, or look to trade for a different wr who's value isn't as high as Fitz's is right now. Good luck.
