1.01 and 1.05 trade value

Postby I Will Win » Thu Apr 02, 2009 2:35 pm

My team
QB: Peyton Manning
RB: Brandon Jacobs, Kevin Smith, Ray Rice, Ricky Williams, Edgerrin James
WR: T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Terrell Owens, Plexico Burress
K: Nate Kaeding

My Picks
1.01
1.05
3.04
5.05

10 team dynasty, Start QB, RB, RB, WR/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE/RB. K, No PPR, 6 pts. run and catch TD, 1 pt. for every 10 yards rec and run, 1 pt. for every 25 yards pass, 4 pts. pass TD.

My question is what would be the better way to go trade the 1.01 and 1.05 for Westbrook and Moss or keep both of them draft 2 of Wells, Moreno, Brown, McCoy, or Crabtree depending on where they land after the NFL draft?

I have been close to winning the past three years and have yet to get over the hump. Do Westbrook and Moss give me a better chance, because lets face it my team is not getting any younger. Or do i hope for a breakout year from either a rookie or one of my players and hope that the breakout player will put me over the hump?

Well with looking at your roster I would say to keep the picks and start to rebuild your roster right now. Too me the best prospect coming out right now is Crabtree and I would take him with the first pick. Then with your next pick take the best player on the board, which will most likely be a rb at that point. You need to rebuild, especially with the lack of depth and age or your wr's, you really need help there. Good luck.

If you can - trade only one of your 1st rounders for R. Moss. Westbrook is getting long in the tooth and is always injury prone. Burress may never play again so what you have is only Owens (who may blow up in Buff. at some point when he realizes they will never be in a super bowl) and Houshie who will put up good but probably not great #'s in Sea. Only trading one pick will allow you to have a great team this year AND build for the future - look at a RB. good luck.

Depending on how the NFL draft goes..
Right now, I'd go Crabtree and the best RB @ 1.05.
I wouldn't trade either of the picks, if this is the best player options offered.

Ya most definetly keep your picks and go after crabtree with your first one, especially if your as close to getting over the hump as you say. If crabtree goes to the right offense he could be an immediate impact now and for the future.
