Your potential trading partner is trying to cash in on the success Johnson had last year at WR and throw in some worthless depth to try to wrangle a surefire RB1 off of your team. Johnson isn't going to put up 1,600/11 (something like that) again, and Roddy White is a better long term option. Don't even give it a second thought...turn it down.
It might make sense to move Peterson if you can acquire some top end talent for him at both RB/WR.
Is there anyone in your league with too many keepers maybe at WR? Matt Cassel Adrian Peterson Kevin Smith Roddy White Tony Gonzalez
are solid keepers. You could use another WR keeper. Chad Johnson might be worth the risk to some but to me he's not. Crayton isn't keepable. Graham has ward breathing down his neck (smells of a RBBC).
I wouldn't keep him either.
It would be nice if you posted your whole roster. With those types of options I might be willing to roll the dice on a young player....if your unable to trade. What FAs are out there?
QB: Brett Favre, Carson Palmer, Matt Cassel RB: Adrian Peterson, Kevin Smith, Ernest Graham WR: Roddy White, Chad Johnson, Patrick Crayton, Santonio Holmes, Laverneus Coles, Matt Jones TE: Tony Gonzalez DEF: Green Bay K: Steven Gostkowski
Holmes might be another option I can throw into the mix
Nope. Adrian is too valuable to get rid of for that group of players. McNabb is old and injury prone, AJ is great but hasn't been consistant every year and never has had double digit TDs, LenDale is a good goalline back but CJ will flourish and be on the field most of the time and TO is not getting any younger and is now playing with by far the least talented QB he has in his career.
