Oh, forgot to mention my last trip. I was in Manchester last weekend for last Sunday's Manchester United-Liverpool match, sort of a late birthday present from my English cousin who relocated to Manchester several months ago. United won, 3-2, and that was surely worth the short trip over.

Do tell!! it must have been so difficult
to stay awake during the game. How did you manage to? pinching your eyeballs? smelling salts? listening to taylor swift? Watching soccer has to be one of the last, most futile, and cruelest punishments mankind can impose on mankind.

Erm, the first bit... when I travel to the Lightside.
There's a lot of them, but I filtered out about 4/5ths of them first.
The official list of places we went: Munich, Rome, Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi, Salerno, and then back to Rome. We had some of the best food of our lives and for anyone who loves quick pasta dishes I implore you to seek out a good recipe for Cacio e Pepe which is something that hasn't made its way to the US and is a "grown up" take on Mac and Cheese, although better.
Oktoberfest was awesome too, and I've re-piqued my interest in trying to make German-style pretzels. This time however I'm buying the food grade lye to get the texture and taste correct.

We *died* laughing so I had to actually run through the train station to catch up to him. When I took the pic the flash went off and he looked around all strange, as if he'd been getting pictures taken of his jacket all day long.
ok travellers... who can fill me in on Belize, Panama and Costa Rica. These are the 3 locations on top of our list to move to in the next year or two. Neither of us have been to any of them so anything at all in the way of info is appreciated. I know a couple of you military type guys have done some time down there so start talking. We are looking at several possibilites on how we are moving but the leading contenders are to move and my wife will work in management at a hotel and I will stay with our 4 y/o son and the other is to buy a business, a b&b, bar etc...
