With the 65th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft the Detroit Lions select: Fili Moala, DT, USC

sorry guys...i wasnt prepared for a 3rd round, so there wont be a ton of analysis here. The Lions need help on the DL still, especially in the interior after trading Cory Redding, and Moala can play Nose and DT so he gives them some flexibility there

With the 67th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Jamon Meredith, OT, South Carolina

O Line is without a doubt an area of need for the Chiefs and Meredith can play both tackle positions and guard so he can potentially fill one of the two needs for the o-line. Wasn't a fantastic run blocker but lets be honest with the current regime in KC does anyone think this with be a predominantly running team? Not likely and protection for Cassell is what they are going to need and Meredith can provide that at RT or Guard. I'd be jumping for joy if Neredith somehow lasted this long but i highly doubt it.

With the 68th pick of the NFL draft, the Seahawks take Andy Levitre, OG, Oregon State.

Entering the draft as an OG, Levitre has played for 22 consecutive starts for OSU, mostly at OT. He is a big man (6'3", over 300 lbs) who will help address one of Seattle's more pressing needs in beefing up their line. Probably not the heir apparent to Walter Jones, he brings an outstanding blocking game and the versatility to play multiple positions that fits well into Seattle's schemes on the line. Expect him to immediately compete for a starting position.

With the 69th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboy's select: Coye Francies CB San Jose State

Cowboys Draft Needs

The Cowboy’s filled some of their needs in the FA market but still have a few glaring needs with the loss of a number of key players. The loss of Cornerback’s Pacman and Anthony Henry makes them thin at the position. This will force them to let Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick compete for the starting role at right cornerback opposite Terence Newman. At Safety Roy Williams has been cut and Keith Davis is a free agent. Keith wants to come back and the Cowboys want him back. Money won’t be an issue. The Cowboys don’t have any answers and few options at a position that is arguably the weakest on the team. An upgrade is a must. The Cowboys signed Gerald Sensabaugh, but this will still have to be a focus in the draft. We also need a WR to bring up in the mix.

Urgent: A hard-hitting strong safety who can cover receivers and make plays is desperately needed. ADDRESSED

Strong: A Cornerback or 2 for depth.

Medium/Strong: A Wide Receiver to develop and help out on some routes this year.

Coye Francies CB San Jose State
Height: 5-11
Weight: 212

Strengths:
Great height with long arms...Very athletic...Excellent speed...Smooth with fluid hips...Great feet...Changes directions well...Has a burst to close...Very physical with wideouts at the line...Is tough and a good tackler...Nice instincts and awareness...Hard worker...Tons of upside.

Weaknesses:
Does not have a lot of experience...Could stand to bulk up a bit...Not very strong...Still raw when it comes to footwork and the technical aspects of the position...Has not been much of a playmaker in coverage..Intelligence may be an issue...Has some character concerns.

Notes:
Also a pretty good kick returner (22.9 avg. in college)...Older brother Diamond played football at Sacramento St...Spent two years at American River Junior College...Transferred to Oregon St. in 2006 and had a very promising first season with the Beavers...Arrested and charged with possession of a loaded firearm in June of 2007 and even though the charges were later dropped he was dismissed from the team...Sat out the '07 season and redshirted after transferring to San Jose St...Plans to pursue a masters degree in biology...Not a finished product but is a big time talent with all the physical tools you look for.

With the 70th pick in the NFL Draft, the Bengals select S Rashad Johnson, Alabama.

Cincy has a few other needs that are higher priority, but Rashad Johnson represents too much value to be passed over in Round 3. Johnson is a great football player that will likely develop into a team captain on the field. He'll line up as a free safety in Cincinnati, which will help to mask his weaknesses. With his ball skills, Johnson could very well become the next Ed Reed.

With the 72nd pick of the NFL Draft, the Jaguars select Derrick Williams, WR, Penn St.

The Jaguars will likely look to address their WR deficiency on Day 1 but will be content if they can land Williams in Round 3. A former #1 recruit, Williams showed flashes of brilliance in college and will likely improve his game in the pros. He is also a weapon in the return game and has enough versatility that he can feature in a Wildcat scheme. Williams looks likely to be off the board by the end of Round 2; if he isn't, he's unlikely to last long on Day 2.

With the 73rd pick of the NFL Draft, the Packers select

Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State

Not much insight here, fits a big need, was a toss up between Cadogan, Kropog and Tupou.
