Chiefs agreed to terms with LB Zach Thomas, formerly of the Cowboys.

Thomas and recent acquisition Mike Vrabel don't have much left in the tank, but their leadership will help ease the transition to Clancy Pendergast's new 3-4 defense. While Thomas will start at one of the inside linebacker spots, the Chiefs still need at least one more starter at linebacker. Wake Forest's Aaron Curry remains an option with the No. 3 draft pick
