That is bad news... I was lawys under the assumption that the only reason he had a job was that he was a "yes man" I've never heard him offer anything of substance to a broadcast.

I think they should have hired Frank Caliendo to step in and replace Madden in the booth. Just let him do his Madden... That would have been awesome at least for one game... LOL

I know this will not be a popular comment, but I would have really liked to have seen him replaced by Sean Salisbury.

I watched about 6 episodes of his TV show and I agree - he is not funny. Except for when he does Madden - BOOM! His turducken skit was great!

This is sad. I always enjoyed Madden's commentary. It wasn't that informative, but there was something about the way he did it that I seemed to like.
