I have to disagree with Matt here. FWP while technically a starter is on his way out. Pitt has drafted there future in Mendy and will utilize him this year. FWP started 11 games last year and put up the 46th best RB stats in a PPR. Stewart started none and put up the 32 best stats. ON 25 less carries Stewart gained more yards. Stewart is younger and while he may not be the future of Carolina as long as DWIll performs, the guy as an NFL runnning back is FAR superior to FWP.

It wouldn't be terrible to keep Stewart over Parker...but one thing to keep in mind is that the Steelers played one of the toughest schedules in NFL history last season and have one of the easier schedules in the league this season so I think it's safe to guess that the rushing attack will likely have an improved overall performance from last season. Mendenhall still has a good deal to prove before he is utilized enough to be a big damper on FWP's production especially if he still has some of the fumble issues we saw from him early last year but we'll see more as the season comes closer and the preseason begins.

I am well aware that Parker is "on his way out" so to speak, but in my opinion I believe that is at least another season out before you will see that happen and like I said, in a 3 keeper league it's not terribly difficult to replace guys you kept the year before by drafting intelligently. I think either way he's going to need to target the guy most likely between FWP/Stewart that he doesn't keep in the draft.

Thanks for all the insight fellas.

I've got the 7th pick in the draft. (finished 5th last year) Anyone want to take a stab at who they think might be there in a 12 teamer where 36 players are kept?

In a keeper league it's going to be pretty much impossible to predict unless we can see the rosters of the other teams and their potential keepers...even then it's a pretty distant guess at best.

I'm goona guess that Rob Bironas will probably be there at 1.07 but not sure that's the right choice for you. :-D

Not a bad guess. :-D As of today I'm now leaning towards keeping the following...

QB: McNabb (although injury history worries me)
WRS: T.O
RB: Willie Parker

I would keep Stewart but I think DeAngelo is the real deal and will keep Stew in check as a Rb2 unless there's an injury. (The new MJD/Fred Taylor combo. Owning those guys was feast or famine.)

I would keep Braylon but even if he has a bounceback year it won't be close enough to 07 where he had 16 td catches. Looking at his 4 year career...only 1 year was above average imo. With an unproven Quinn likely behind center and a pretty tough schedule again, I think the trend of average or below type season continues in 09.

A decent QB will go a long way in this league where scoring is weighted favorably for that position.

Rule Apply To
1 point for every 25 Passing Yards
3 extra points when total Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 300
2 points for every Two-Point Conversion Passing
5 points for every Passing TD
-2 points for every Interception

Any other arguments/discussions for keeping Stew or Braylon over my current choices is highly welcome and leave me a link to your dilemma. Thanks.
