Jeff Kearney wastes no time when asked what would happen if Sunday's Replay game between the 1993 Easton and Phillipsburg high school football teams ends in a tie.
"Overtime," says Kearney, sports marketing manager for Gatorade.
That didn't happen on Nov. 25, 1993, when the teams deadlocked 7-7.
A full house of more than 13,000 is expected Sunday at Lafayette College's Fisher Stadium. NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning, for Easton, and Eli Manning, for Phillipsburg, will serve as honorary coaches.
Gatorade, which came up with the idea for Replay and selected Easton-Phillipsburg as the best high school rivalry in the nation, has been impressed with response to the game since announcing it in late January.
"The thing I'll never forget is the dedication and passion of these guys," Kearney said of the 60 or so players, who are now in their 30s and looking to settle the score this weekend. "Some of them have said it feels like they're a high school senior again. You're looking across the huddle, and it's like nothing ever changed.
