On another note...why are we slow drafting here with posts instead of on Flea? Does it not have a rookie draft capability?
It does, but it's functionality is pretty poor and no where near on a par with what MFL offers for example.
How is it inadequate?
Few main points
- No draft clock - As a result of the above you can't pass over an owner if the timer expires and have that owner pick down the line. If he doesn't pick, the draft gets held up until he does. - You can't have a set number of rounds. Basically, how it works is you get enough picks to fill your roster. Dropping THEN drafting isn't nearly as intuitive as draft then drop. For starters, you have to drop in advance of your pick or your slot gets skipped over. You don't know if it's worth dropping a player until you know exactly who's there and whether or not it's a good decision. If your guy doesn't fall to you, maybe you regret dropping a player who you think is better than the one you're drafting now.
Now, there are manual workarounds to some of these problems, however if we're having to do so much manually, we might as well draft on the forum where we can keep the procedure to exactly how we want it.

That was my whole thing. Eventually the cafe would render useless in that scenario. But I figured once two owners agreed to a trade on the cafe, if it's OTC, it was ok to pick. Up to the commish though in diff leagues, so I don't want to assume. I just figure it's best to keep things moving.
