i guessed it was rookie only, and i didn't know that we were expanding roster size. i dropped players to accomindate the new rookies.

Easy fix if we in fact do expand this year... my thoughts were more for next year but expansion is not a huge deal. I can easily put the dropped players back on your roster.


I woud like everyone to chime in on this before we decide anything though.

I think that this season, purely to keep everyone on equal ground, we should have either a separate draft for FA or no FA draft at all. Trades and everything would have been impacted by thinking we could draft others.

I personally have never been in a dynasty where FA can be drafted during the rookie draft. And I'm in quite a few dynasties.

I haven't thoroughly thought this through but what I think I would like to see is this...

1) We have 5 extra roster spots available on Flea
2) An increase of 1 this year, 2 in 2010 and 2 more in 2011
3) Keep the rookie draft as purely a 4 round rookie draft this year
4) For 2010 institute a 5 round, rookie free/agent draft for June 1st.
5) You will not have to immediately do a cut down. The draft will conclude and we will have a 1 week cutdown period. Once done, I will import the new players and we will be good to go.


That way, only 2-3 of us who have traded 2010 picks will be effected if at all.

Why not just do a complete random order (or reverse rookie draft) free agent draft of say 3 rounds.

Cut downs after both drafts are done. and add all that crap Bungle laid out in at the times he said to...because that looks damn good to me.

I'm down with three rounds of complete random order drafting. I think we need ot give an opportunity to people who made cuts to grab back a guy or two based on having these spots.

I would very much like a FA draft. I think random or same-as-rookie order is more fair. We should still be trying to make the worse teams better for parity. Or at least not hurting them. Should we allow trading in the FA draft?
