Can we put in waiver claims now?

It looks like people already did!

Did I miss the official announcement somewhere that we were opening up the waiver wire to bid$?

No, you didn't- there wasn't an official announcement. I've had this question in other leagues and I discovered that, if you pull up an unowned player, there's a green box to the right. If you place the cursor over that box, it will tell you if and when waivers will be processed.

For instance, Jason Avant is an unowned player with the highest ADP. To the right is the green "Claim" box. When you put the cursor on top, it says, "claims for this player will be processed in three days". It says other stuff, but that's the main part.

Thrifty pointed out that fumble returns for TDs weren't assigned to offensive players, as agreed to in this poll. I changed the scoring rules to compensate.

2) there was, in fact, a score that gets affected by this correction,

In another league discussion, saw the following post-

I would rather have IR spots. If we add roster spots, I want those spots to have a purpose. Not having IR slots was a huge oversight because of how quickly we put this together (and did a great job, overall). It's a dynasty. I'm only in one other dynasty without IR slots, and I hate that. It makes no sense to me. It's punishing you for bad luck when no punishment is needed.

Thoughts about adding IR spots to this league? Lots of of injuries this year, but our rosters will be deepened shortly.

There's a poll up to go back and change the scoring history of defenses. This will mean that defenses will score less and could easily lead to games that are currently being counted as wins being changed to losses. That could mean that current playoff-hopeful teams could get removed from consideration.

Five people have voted yes in the poll. In the discussion board on Flea, Aaawal, The_Lung, and thriftyrocker all posted that they voted yes. Instinctive and LS2 state they didn't vote, but were in support.

By my calculations, that makes, at most, 7 people in support of making a potentially big change. We need 8 "yes" votes in that poll for it to pass, according to this thread.

A run down of 2012 changes and potential future proposals
2011 polls that pass-
Thrifty's Special ( passed 11-0)
Add a slot to SL (passed- 8-4)
Because the majority decided to add another player to the starting lineup, there were two additional polls-
A- What type of player should it be (8 in favor of W/R/T)
B- When should we start this (8 in favor of 2012)

2011 polls that didn't pass and will be resubmitted, as well as other ideas-
Tradeable Blind-Bid Budgets (5-5- interestingly, this had been 6-6 before)
Change SL slots (7 in favor, not the 8 necessary for it to pass)
Roster Expansion (6-6)
Blind-bid budgets rollover (1-9)

Other ideas not yet in a poll-
1- Should we add IR spots?
2- We'll have to discuss changing the playoff rank tiebreakers and in-game tie-breakers. Total points should be higher up the list, bench points should be lower (or not a factor).

I dislike Bench Points as well...would prefer something else bad, but better, like QB Points or something haha.

Since we have divisions, doesn't it make sense for 1st seeding tiebreaker to be whether or not you won your division, and then Total Points above al else? Hell, i don't even know what we have now.


I'd support 2 IR spots, I think that's a good number.
